DEON GRANT, T.I. AND SEAN GARRETT INSPIRES POSITIVE RELATIONSHIPS FOR FAMILIES

"I appreciate hearing straight talk from T.I., NFL Player Deon Grant and Sean Garrett. Like T.I. said, girls are special and should always carry themselves that way. Don't get caught up in all the hype, respect yourself" stated ICTBS Teen Kiana.

On Wednesday, July 9th, single parent mothers and their daughters watched intensely as the dramatic scenes from Tyler Perry's Daddy's Little Girls were displayed on the Big Screen at the Radio One conference room. "I have watched that film over and over and those scenes still affect me when it relates to my daughter and our relationship," stated a mom. What a way to start the panel discussions off with powerful scenes from this movie concerning relationships with mothers, daughters, fathers and boyfriends and how they impact relationships in our communities.

The It's Cool To Be Smart "Saving Our Daughters" from a Men's Pointy of View, was hosted by Rashan Ali from the A-Team Morning Show who directed on point questions to celebrity panelist to include Grammy artists T.I. and Sean Garrett along with All Pro NFL Safety of the Seattle Seahawks, Deon Grant.

The event was coordinated by ICTBS Mentor and Promotions Assistant, Rashidah Jenkins at Radio One. Also Rashidah with Promotions Manager, Corey Punzi of 102.5 Grown Folks Radio, set up an interview with all guest on the syndicated Radio One show, The Warren Ballentine Show to discuss their involvement with It's Cool To Be Smart and the event with the families. Rolling Stone Magazine, Rolling Out, CBS 46 News, Atlanta Voice and HOT 107.9 on Air Personality, Maria More covered and supported this ground breaking event as well.
